Oh Capri. I could get lost in you forever. ⠀
I walked these streets for miles last summer. And far from the crowd, in this underbelly of the town, through these meandering back alleys, I found her beating heart. ⠀

Her living, breathing, mythical, beating heart. ⠀

With the scent of lemon and coffee and powdered sugar floating through the air.

The birds and trees and clamoring of people, all calling out to the sacredness of life.

Much like the Greek Goddess Hecate, who was present at all boundaries and the transitional moments in life, as women we are natural priestesses in that we too are a bridge between worlds.⁠⠀

We have continued to function as the main mediators between the divine and the human realms for thousands of years. We gestate, create and destroy. We hold the key to the upper and lower realms. We bring in life, and we are the natural custodians of the threshold of death.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
The clearer our womb space, and the more deeply connected it is to our heart, the clearer boundaries and intuition we will have, and the more effortless our expression of power and magic in the world.⁠⠀

My great grandmother Celestina was an accomplished maga (sorceress). She had steely steadfast eyes so she could pierce through the light and the dark in the world. ⠀
⠀
Whilst she crossed over long before I was born, her legacy lives on. And more recently I have begun to invite her to circle with me, to learn some Italian magic first hand.⠀
⁠⠀
I’ve learnt that to create channels of communication with your ancestors requires both patience and courage.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Patience because we are not used to having our ancestors in our daily lives. We didn't grow up in a predominant culture of Awakened Dreaming and Fence Crossing. So we need to learn an approach that works for both sides, if you know what I mean. It takes time to develop a symbology and language with those that have passed on.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Courage because it can feel quite spooky at times. Seeing energies that are disembodied, hearing things, starting a conversation with someone that your next door neighbor or partner can't even see. Trusting in your intuition is essential to this process.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
And at the same time these energies are familiar to us. They have gifts for us. They are deeply invested in our lives working out the way we want them to if we let them help. ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Just remember to always work in a safe space. Honor the rituals and the knowledge that they pass on. And give them thanks every time.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
It is a deeply loving and fulfilling dimension that we add to our lives, when we see the world through their eyes, ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
